About Mind Life Wellbeing Counseling LLC

Our Philosophy

I believe that healing and meaningful change are possible for every individual, regardless of past experiences, trauma, diagnosis, or life circumstances. My counseling philosophy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique story. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and trauma-informed environment where clients feel supported in exploring challenges and building a stronger sense of self.

I have extensive experience working with individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, those navigating criminal re-entry, individuals with military backgrounds, and clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, addiction, and recovery. I recognize that trauma—whether acute, chronic, or complex—often underlies emotional distress, relationship challenges, and substance use. My work focuses on helping clients identify and understand these underlying issues while developing healthier ways to cope, heal, and move forward.

I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR Therapy, Solution-Focused EMDR, person-centered care, and crisis intervention. Therapy is a collaborative process in which clients are empowered to take an active role in their healing, strengthen emotional regulation, and build skills that support safety, stability, and long-term well-being.

In addition to therapeutic services, I bring a background in clinical forensic assessment and have served in state-appointed roles evaluating an individual’s capacity for safety, self-care, and the need for additional supports or intervention. This experience informs a thoughtful, balanced, and ethically grounded approach to both clinical care and assessment.

Mission

My mission is to support individuals struggling with trauma, mental health challenges, addiction, and life transitions in building safer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. I am committed to helping clients improve their ability to enjoy life, develop the skills needed to take the wheel in their own lives, and strengthen their confidence in managing emotions, relationships, and recovery.

Through compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed care, I help clients explore underlying factors contributing to distress, addiction, and relapse, while developing effective strategies for healing, resilience, and sustained recovery. My goal is to empower individuals to strengthen their relationships, improve career and family functioning, and cultivate a healthier, more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Vision

My vision is to foster a counseling practice that promotes lasting wellbeing, personal growth, and improved life outcomes for individuals navigating trauma, mental health challenges, and complex life transitions. I envision clients developing a deeper understanding of themselves, gaining healthier perspectives, and strengthening their ability to respond to life’s challenges with resilience and intention.

Through compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care, this practice strives to help individuals cultivate balance and harmony within themselves and their relationships. The goal is for clients to feel empowered to manage their lives with greater confidence, emotional stability, and self-compassion—creating space for healing, meaningful connection, and a renewed sense of purpose.
